Description

For fixing foamed polystyrene panels when insulating buildings using the light-wet method.

Ceresit CT 83 mortar is used for gluing foamed polystyrene boards as part of a complex insulation system for external walls of buildings (ETICS) by the light-wet method in Ceresit Ceretherm systems. It is suitable for both newly constructed and thermally renovated buildings. The boards glued with mortar require additional fixing with mechanical connectors, i.e. with appropriate plastic expansion pins. To make a layer reinforced with fiberglass mesh on foamed polystyrene boards, Ceresit CT 85 or CT 87 mortar should be used. In case of insulation of walls with mineral wool facade panels, Ceresit CT 190, CT 180 or CT 87 mortar should be used.
